Been using this stuff for 5 years, I think it protects great. My 5 year old naked paint (stripped of wax with dish soap) was mistaken for post-buffed and waxed by several people. That's with the harsh salt of winter every year.

One tub lasted me most of the 5 years, re-ordering now. This is typical hard paste, and needs to be applied appropriately lightly and wiped off quickly.
