Clean-Rite 9-Piece Microfiber, Plush Towel & Genuine Chamois Drying Kit Review

Clean-Rite 9-Piece Microfiber, Plush Towel & Genuine Chamois Drying Kit Review
All of the rags you could possibly need to dry, dust, or polish your car. I'm not using half of them and I'm still ecstatic with my purchase.
You get a 3 square feet and a 5 square feet of genuine chamois. If you want no streak without scratching the paint of you car, this is the route to go. You also get the foam brick that is covered with the same leather material. I used to buy them individually and they are expensive. If you do not know how to use a chamois, Google it. You have to use it damp but not wet.

I also love microfiber cloths. It is a good size microfiber towel that I am being tempted to use as a personal towel :) (except it is dark blue). The quality of the towels are good, they are not the cheap, thin microfiber cloths. Also, 2 sets of 3 different textured microfibers for the glass and windshield. You have 2 pom-poms made of leather chamois - which I doubt if I will use that often. And lastly, a handy squeegee.

CRC 05088 Brakleen® Brake Parts Cleaner - Non-Chlorinated, 15oz/ 12 Pack Case Review

CRC 05088 Brakleen® Brake Parts Cleaner - Non-Chlorinated, 15oz/ 12 Pack Case Review
One thing I recently discovered is that there is BLACK labeled Brakleen ... and RED label Brakleen (the word "BRAKLEEN" is written in black or red). Red label is sold in states with strict emission rules. If you look at the MSDS, you'll find that RED label has less of the stuff that works but is sold at the same price. You would never know this if you don't travel out of state on a regular basis. MA is one of those states that thinks it can save the world by limiting the chemical content of consumer goods ..... when it should be limiting the terms of its elected officials! If you live here, buy it out of state & it will work much better! BLACK label is the good stuff. It's not CRC's fault - it's these heavy handed & mis-guided regulations.

California Car Duster 96630 15" Microfiber Wheel Duster Review

California Car Duster 96630 15
The plastic fork pushes through and rips the sleeve.

This after a months use. I lightly dust the wheels about every other day.

I bought another and the same thing happenned again.

My experience differs significantly from those of the other reviewers. I have two of these wheel dusters, and have used one since a year ago May. It's been washed at least every other week and still works fine, with no tears, rips, or any other problems. The 15-spoke wheels on my C6 Corvette are cleaned with the duster every time I drive it. The wheel duster is a much more convenient way of removing brake dust than corrosive sprays or washing the wheels every time the car is driven.

Clean-Rite Genuine Leather Chamois Pad Review

Clean-Rite Genuine Leather Chamois Pad Review
My '68 Plymouth Fury has less than optimal defogging and defrosting features, and these little chamois pads are so handy! You have to try them if you ever have condensation issues in your car, they're really amazing- and cheap.

I am buying another to use to wipe down our front-loader washing machine.

I've been scrubbing my windows kind of hard with the pad to get off frozen condensation on the interior side of my windows and the stitching is holding up very well. I was afraid since these were so inexpensive that they might be poor quality, but happily that's not the case.

I am really glad I bought these.

Permatex GS8-12 No Touch Auto Glass Stripper - 8 oz. Review

Permatex GS8-12 No Touch Auto Glass Stripper - 8 oz. Review
WOW this glass striper works I have automatic sprinklers at home and we have hard water so after a couple of days of warm weather I noticed that my car windshield (on my car show car ) was full of water spots . I went out and got the glass cleaner and went to work cleaning my cars windows and the spots would not come off!!So I talked to a couple of friends and 1 of them told me to try vinegar (did not work) talked to a windshield guy and he told me to try CLR so I went to the store again and got the CLR (did not work ) looked online and they said to try 000 steel wool (I felt uncomfortable using that because I was worried about scratching the glass and having to replace window/windows on my car.$$$ ) So off to the store I went again to get the 000 steel wool . I found this product and the auto parts store (NAPA) by the glass cleaner and asked the guy behind the counter if it worked he said "I have no idea lets go out to your car and see" now at this point I have not even paid for it yet!! We put some on on a damp rag and tried it on my sunroof and in 5 minutes and light scrubbing we were done!! every spot was gone even spots from before I bought the car were gone so of course I bought it. got home and did all the windows on my car they are now better than ever now .. My wife saw what a great job it did on my car that she wanted to see how good it would do on our glass shower door and it took 3 applications but it is crystal clear now !! I am the biggest skeptic about this stuff but this worked for me !!
I got this product for one reason only and it has delivered. If you have squeaky wipers and they drive you crazy and they are relatively new wipers then you probably have a build up of grime, grit and grease on the windscreen. Follow the directions carefully and it will remove the microscopic film or dirt from the glass. Avoid using the rain dance products as well. I've noticed these made buildup worse and the squeaking much worse.

Nu Vinyl Protectant Review

Nu Vinyl Protectant Review
Nu Vinyl is a protectant composition similar to, but better than Armor-all. It does a good job of bringing out the color of black plastic/rubber/vinyl trim, while leaving a glossy and waterproof finish. You'll get the best results if you apply two coats over two days.

The Nu Finish formula is quite thin, so be careful not to spill it when applying it to a paper towel/microfiber.
Here in the Las Vegas area, vinyl materials in cars deteriorates in appearance pretty fast - and it eventually cracks. For the last twenty years I have been using Armor All for his purpose.... But it has been a marginal product, greasy feeling, collects dust, and also evaporates pretty quickly.

Nu Vinyl, which I tried on the recommendation of a girlfriend who uses it her vinyl purses and boots, said it was really great. So I gave it a test on the dashboard of my car, and it was a superior product from the very beginning. Easy to use, not greasy feeling, it gives the vinyl a very nice new look without cheap shininess and without the tendency to collect dust. And, it lasts a great deal longer while looking better than the Armor All.

I also use it on the exterior vinyl parts, and black painted trim, and windshield wiper arms and blades - it makes my car look like new. I have tried it on some leather - with the same wonderful results. I have been using it now for over three years, and am still very enthusiastic about this product. It is definitely worth the price.

Klasse All-In-One Polish and Sealant Review

Klasse All-In-One Polish and Sealant Review
I found this stuff on proper autocare. After i used it on my Dark Red 2002 Honda CR-V with 140K miles, people asked if I purchased a new car. Really!

I found it "not good" to use on some black plastic, it left a white residue or stain behind. Like the plastic next to the side view mirrors.

Otherwise, I used it on all the paint, plastic chrome, grill, and glass (like someone else said, throw your rainx out and use this)

I also used this on my new 2010 Toyota Highlander (Silver), and it looks great.

I just finished putting on the sealant tonight. That stuff is thinner and it's best to leave it on as long as you can before you wipe it off. If i didn't have to work tomorrow, i would have left it on overnight to allow more dry time. I think the jury is still out on this stuff (grey bottle), but the all-in-one red bottle stuff rocks!

I always clay bar my cars first. But that's a once per 4 years kind of thing. I recommend clay baring a new car, they have a lot of "rail dust" from train transports. I did this to both my Mini cooper I owed and my new Toyota I have. It does make a difference on the feel. Use a plastic sandwich bag and feel you cars finish with your finger tips before / after clay bar, it makes a difference.

I just purchased a used boat, and i will be using Klasse on this white/red boat. It is a 2005 in really nice shape.

I will post how it works on boats in the water.

Also I never washed my car with this, thanks to the others here, I will try this tomorrow. The honda cr-v.
I selected klasse aio after reading the reviews of lots of products designed to restore the original shine to my 01 Beamer which probably doesn't get washed as frequently as it should. And because I don't wash and wax with any kind of regularity I wanted something as low maintenance as possile. I initially looked at the major manufacturers like turtle wax, meguiars, etc. you find at big box stores, but the reviews were mixed. Some didn't work very well, some worked initially, but required frequent upkeep and others required a lot of steps. Klasse was one of the few where I had difficulty finding poor reviews. It certainly lived up to expectations. It brought my beamer's dark grey metallic paint back to life. It easily got rid of the clear coat oxidation and the areas with baked on dirt and left a slick, like new, glassy finish. All with just a basic car washing, then a smidgen of product and a light hand application. And thankfully I don't have to reapply it for another 6 months.

6 AQUAPEL Windshield/Glass Water Repellant TREATMENTS Review

6 AQUAPEL Windshield/Glass Water Repellant TREATMENTS Review
Very expensive considering how much it covers. Didn't last that much longer than Rain-X.
This product works as promised. Seems to improve visibility and the performance of windshield wipers as rain drops bead easily at lower speeds and are whisked off the windshield easily at higher speeds. Can't compare Aquapel to other products because I haven't used any but I'll happily buy more Aquapel.

Meguiar's M-0716 Mirror Glaze Professional Show Car Glaze. 16 oz. liquid Review

Meguiar's M-0716 Mirror Glaze Professional Show Car Glaze. 16 oz. liquid Review
To be fair, if you own a light-colored vehicle, temper your expectations of the Show Car Glaze with what you have. You'll simply never have the deep, wet paint of a darker vehicle - its the trade off when folks with black rides are having to wash them every few days.

That being said, my Pearl-White Lexus GS430 has NEVER looked better than after a coat of Show Car Glaze, and I take care of it meticulously. A good double-wash, clay bar, glaze and NXT 2.0 wax and it literally stands out from pretty much anything else around it, even with such a light-color. Water appears to bead a little better as well, but it could have nothing to do with the polish.

Bottom line, it won't be night and day difference to some eyes, but even my wife (unsolicited, I might add) asked if I had done something different to my car. For those who are somewhat obsessive about having the absolute best-looking finish on their rides, I recommend you adding this step to your regimen. I imagine a bottle of the Show Car Glaze lasting a long time (except maybe on large SUVs), so for the price especially, its one heck-of a bargain.

Meguiars, you've done it again, both improved the look of my car and forced me to spend more time making it so. Thanks. I think.
I used this on my dark red mustang and did half the car only. I could not tell any difference. Went back and finished the car and it looked great but it look great before using this so not sure what I was gaining.

By reading all the reviews I was expecting a wow factor.

Maybe it does better on older cars but my mustang is not new either but in good shape.

Also used it on an 09 Focus and again, no difference.

Makes me wonder with these clear coats in that these products do not get down to the paint level and since

clear coats are already glossy, a good polish does little.

Not that impressed but will give it 3 stars since most people have good luck with it but my advise is if you have

a car with good paint and clear coat, do not expect miracles.

Meguiar's G14422 Ultimate Quick Detailer Review

Meguiar's G14422 Ultimate Quick Detailer Review
I used this product on my new black SUV. We all know how hard it is to keep black clean/shiny. It worked very well at making my vehicle shiny but I just don't think it's the "wonder" product that most people describe in their reviews here. I followed the directions & even bought the Meguiars X3080 even coat applicators listed on this page. I guess I should have bought the bigger micro fiber towels because my arm started to cramp up after a while but I guess live & learn. As far as repelling water it still left rain stains on my vehicle but I must admit it was pouring pretty hard. It's still a good product but I suggest you buy the bigger micro fiber towels & you must follow the directions & leave it sit for a good 12 hours to work properly, kind of a con to me. To be honest I have the original California Car Duster (you can buy it here on Amazon) & I think it works better than this (or just as well) & you don't need to wait 12 hours for the product to properly "cure".
I would recommend this detailer to keep you vehicles spotless. I have a black truck and it's a must.

Mothers 05750 California Gold Pure Carnauba Wax Liquid - 16 oz Review

Mothers 05750 California Gold Pure Carnauba Wax Liquid - 16 oz Review
I've been purchasing fancy waxes and polishes. They all look good just after being applied, but I noticed that they don't seem to last. I thought I'd go back to the basics and just try good old carnauba wax.

I am not disappointed and will stick with carnauba wax from now on. It keeps on beading water way past the time that the others starting sheeting.
This wax is excellent. There are absolutely no cons to using this wax. I agree with all of the previous reviews. I have used every other brand of wax available (turtle wax, meguiars, zymol, etc) and none of them can compare to the brilliance of this Mothers wax. It goes on and off easy. No hard buffing and no streaking on removal. I've never encountered a wax that is so easy to remove. After removing this wax from the entire car, my microfiber towel hardly looked used at all. The shine was absolutely stunning. You will not find a better wax at any price point.

Turtle Wax T-240KT Headlight Lens Restorer Kit Review

Turtle Wax T-240KT Headlight Lens Restorer Kit Review
I have a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer and Impala and live in central Texas. On the Impala it has had some scratches. I bought the Trailblazer used and it came from Arizona and had extensive clouding and some scratches. It did the trick on both cars. It took approx 30-40 minutes per car but that does include some time taping off the lights so overspray is contained. Just focus on the areas you need buff with one hand and spray with the other (yes Daniel-san buff on, spray off). Once it "feels" smooth, move to the next pad until you get through all 4. **Just make sure when using the pads you alternate between directions (i.e. pad 1 left right, then pad 2 up and down, pad 3 left right, pad 4 up down). Keep the spray going on the pads. Once you are done, use the little wipe on all of them going left righ and up down. (Turtle wax could have included more of the wipes but Oh well). I am planning on using some "ice" products to further protect the finish. Otherwise you can see the results as soon as you buff it all down. If it doesn't look good enough to you, just repeat the buffing steps to get it to where you need to. On the Trailblazer it took 2 runs, the Impala just one. Get a stool to sit on and have fun.

I read other reviews and purchased this product. It is amazing. It does take time, about 1/2 hour each headlight, but they now look as good as new and it's amazing what a difference it makes in the overall look of the car. If I had known about this product before now I would have done this years ago when they first started to get cloudy. Very, very easy to use, just follow the enclosed instructions. A small suggestion, when you think that you're done, work on it another 10 or 15 minutes and it gets even better, almost as good as new.
