My 5 year old son and I went on a road trip across the state a few months back. During that trip, he spilled something on the seat. Fast forward a few days after we get back and my car started to smell something awful. I tried the upholstery cleaner at the car wash, Febreeze, air fresheners, and simply trying to "wait it out" over 2 months, but it still wouldn't go away. I had to do something else and that is how I came to this Meguiar's product.
After a good covering of the entire back seat - including under, behind, and tipping the seat down to get in the cracks - the smell has gone away. I haven't noticed any remaining smell from either the initial spill or from the Car Oder Eliminator.

Used for the first time and a day later there was a lingering after smell, like a HS gym locker. Prior to that just a normal car smell. I had to Febreeze to take the bad smell out. I do NOT recommend. Febreeze is much better
