We're only had this screen on for a few weeks and it would need to be on for an entire season before a true evaluation could be made; however, no adult dirt dauber (dobber) can fit through the openings of the screen. I feel confident that it will effectively serve the purpose intended. Additionally, it was surprisingly easy to install. There was a tool that came with the unit that worked as shown on the package.
