Total Filter Kit Review
In most states, such as Florida, water tends to have a very high concentration of calcium, magnesium, and iron. This is commonly called 'hard water' and washing your vehicle with it will lead to water spots and calcification on exposed metals, which in time can lead to corrosion. This water filter, which is really not as expensive as most water softeners, both filters and softens the water so it allows you to wash your ride with a much purer water. Contrary to common belief softened water does not damage metals (as confirmed by a recent EPA report), but it definitely ensures you slow the aging process of your car or bike. After washing you will get very few/no water spots and no calcification and you can let your vehicle dry by itself, which I find very convenient.
If you've invested in your ride, you should definitely consider having this. Bought it to wash my big-rig touring bike and it works extremely well. It's also very well built, which I think speaks volumes to the overall quality of the product.
