I took a leap of faith and purchased the Zymol cleanse and carbon wax. I had no idea if these products were worth their cost compared to other cleaners and waxes, but thought they would be worth a shot.

The HD Cleanse is easy to use. I also used clay bars for really tough surface contaminants. As a comparator, I think cleanse is easier to use, but doesn't get out "baked on" contaminants as well as clay. That being said, the car surface was noticably smoother. I used the cleanse on the top surfaces prior to using the wax. When I started waxing over the car, the wax went on whisper quiet. Waxing was so easy that I tried it on side surfaces that I didn't use the cleanse, with noticable differences - noiser and more resistance.

After I was done with the cleanse and wax the car surface was smooth and the color really jumped out. I barely used much of either product, so even though they are pricy, I think I will get many applications out of both. I purchased this today and used it on a 1995 Acura Integra with the original Milano Red paint. The car had not been polished or waxed in over 5 years, but was washed around every 2 months. The hood showed oxidation as did the spoiler but all other areas were still glossy. The vehicle has a ton of scratches and has been keyed over the years. I did not know what to expect when I used this product. I had figured the hood to be at a point of no return. I applied the product with an applicator by hand with long straight strokes. After I covered the desired area, I wiped it clean with a soft microfiber cloth. I decided to do the entire vehicle and followed up with a wax. It took me about 2 hours. I am very pleased with the product. It restored a natural lustre to the hood, bringing it to the near glossy finish on the front fenders and sides. I figure with an electrical buffer, I could have gotten even a deeper clean of the hood as I can still see some oxidation.
Some say that this product is too potent, resulting in swirls or streaks. I think this may be true on finishes that are already pretty good. I'm one of those engineer types that actually has done experiments on various cars trying out a handful of waxes and polishes on different sections of the hood and trunk to see which lasts longest. Any wax will wear out after repeated washings but they do age differently. There are three things P21S has over the competition, it contains zero abrasives so to get an incredibly smooth and shiny surface you need to prep the finish with a clay bar (to remove surface contaminants like tar and pine sap) and polish that contains no waxes or silicones of its own (water based Menzerna 106FF 2500 grit polish is probably the best for this as it's residue just washes off with a damp cloth(to remove scratches.) Seccondly, P21S does NOT leave white residue on plastic or within seams and thirdly, it does not leave smeary fingerprints when you glide your hands across it to admire how smooth it feels. Try that with Meguires! Consumer's Union gave P21S a middling score because they said it doesn't clean the paint. Well duh! It isn't supposed to. It's a pure wax and that is the beauty of it. Wipe on, wait a minute, and wipe off. No rubbing, no buffing, no brushing into the cracks, no fingerprints. Meguiar's G12711 NXT Tech Wax - Paste Top Quality

I bought this based on the reviews here. It's not as good as I was led to believe, certainly not as good as a quality yellow carnuba paste wax.

It goes on Ok, with a small bit of effort. Letting it dry and then taking it off is the same, easy but with a slight bit of effort. My main disappointment was in the result. It has less shine than a good quality carnuba wax and additional coats don't improve the result. I don't intend to continue using it.

Carnuba wax, on the other hand, goes on easy and smoothly, even on vinyl trim, doesn't have to dry (you wipe it off as soon as you put it on), buffs to a bright shine, and multiple coats only make it better.

My advice: If you want a wax that goes on easily, comes off easily and lasts several months, use a good quality carnuba wax, one that doesn't dry to a haze. I recommend the yellow paste wax from AutoSport (I've used it myself) but I'm sure there are others.

As they freeze the ice and frost that you are trying to remove attaches to the blades.
