Low Price Meguiar's G12711 NXT Tech Wax - Paste

I bought this based on the reviews here. It's not as good as I was led to believe, certainly not as good as a quality yellow carnuba paste wax.

It goes on Ok, with a small bit of effort. Letting it dry and then taking it off is the same, easy but with a slight bit of effort. My main disappointment was in the result. It has less shine than a good quality carnuba wax and additional coats don't improve the result. I don't intend to continue using it.

Carnuba wax, on the other hand, goes on easy and smoothly, even on vinyl trim, doesn't have to dry (you wipe it off as soon as you put it on), buffs to a bright shine, and multiple coats only make it better.

My advice: If you want a wax that goes on easily, comes off easily and lasts several months, use a good quality carnuba wax, one that doesn't dry to a haze. I recommend the yellow paste wax from AutoSport (I've used it myself) but I'm sure there are others.

Save Clean Tools Wash Mitt For Serious Car Care, Natural Wool/Polyester/Nylon Blend

This wash mitt WILL scratch your car. It is not nearly as soft as a pure lambswool or microfiber mitt. I should have known when it stated polyester/nylon blend in addition to the wool (there must be only trace amounts of wool btw). You would never wash your car with a polyester/nylon shirt so don't do it with this mitt.
I would return it but it will cost me almost as much to return since it is only 4.88. Only good for washing the bottom of your car or your wheels. DO NOT USE IT ON CLEARCOAT! Save your money and get a pure lambswool or pure microfiber wash mitt or use a natural sponge. I've used RainX for a very long time on my cars, often re-applying it every 2 months just to keep it beading well. The problem with rainX though besides longevity is it was slightly difficult to buff off the glass even after hazing and using water.

With this new Aquapel product I don't have to buff to remove the product and it does last a full 6 months. The product works best on a clean windshield, so you must keep your car's glass clean, but it works very well at speeds over 35 or in heavy downpours.
